J.Attilio Baldassi
CEO Business Solutions Inc BSc (HONS), MBA
Attilio is presently the CEO of Bio Business Solutions Inc (BBSI); an Atlanta based consulting firm specializing in life sciences products and services commercialization. BBSI offers a range of services including Executive and Commercial Management, Strategic Planning, Market Development and Partnering.
Attilio has more than twenty years of industry experience in biotechnology in research, operations and commercial roles with the University of Queensland; Agen Biomedical Ltd an Australian publicly listed company who produced rapid human and veterinary diagnostics tests; and Serologicals Corporation a provider of hyperimmune human plasma; cell culture, diagnostics, and blood typing reagents who was acquired by Millipore Corporation.
Recently completed or ongoing BBSI engagements include: leading an early stage company with a potentially disruptive diagnostics technology that utilizes SERS (Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) for biological and chemical detection; business development and partnering for a novel patented blood clot detection test; domestic and international business development and mentoring for a purified proteins and polyclonal antisera manufacturer; and domestic and international sales management and mentoring for a cell culture supplements and clinical diagnostics test reagents and controls manufacturer.
Dr. Aaron B. Cowley
Dr. Aaron B. Cowley is a co-founder and CEO of Captozyme where he strives to make the organization a renowned player in global hyperoxaluria and rare diseases. He has grown Captozyme from a two-person start-up to a small company with a research pipeline and a self-sustaining service department. Dr. Cowley has secured service contracts generating up to $4.5 million in revenue and led the research efforts resulting in four SBIR NIH grants totaling $2.5 million, to date. Prior to forming Captozyme, Dr. Cowley was a Scientist II/Preclinical Manager at OxThera Inc. He holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Kansas and a MBA from the University of Florida.
Kyle Coe
Kyle Coe is an experienced M&A professional with over 10+ years in the industry, specializing in the lower middle market, serving private companies who’s primary focus was to exit their businesses. Kyle has played a pivotal role in the closing of over 40 deals, including acting as the principal on deals when needed. Additionally, Kyle managed a network of affiliate deal makers whose sole responsibility was to close deals. In this role Kyle worked closely with these affiliates to establish a marketing plan before each client went to market, addressed deal sensitive issues that come up through the negotiation stage and then ensured that deals closed in a timely manner. Early in his career, Kyle served as an analyst performing evaluations and drafting offering memorandums.
Through Kyle’s diverse career, he has proven himself to be a quick learner with the ability to critically analyze and process time sensitive information. Putting others first and focusing on what is best for the team are two character traits that define the person that Kyle has become. During his career, Kyle was recognized as a seasoned negotiator, gifted communicator and skilled strategist on each and every deal he participated in.
Kyle received a BBS in Finance from Dallas Baptist University and a MBA from Southern Methodist University. He has been married for 8 years and is a proud father of two boys.
Dr. Quentin Florence
Dr. Quentin Florence is a founding partner of KonQuest Capital. Dr. Florence has over 10 years of experience in the biotechnology industry with roles in scientific and business development. He has overseen market research, product manufacturing, technology transfer, customer relations, research and development as well as other administrative and scientific activities. He has a B.S. and PhD. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia. For the last 5 years, Dr. Florence has been focused on the evolution, quality testing, and manufacturing of Alzheimer’s related research products including but not limited to proteins/peptides, antibodies, and analysis kits. He strategically directed his teams in the production of novel research tools that can be used in the development of therapeutics which target neurodegenerative diseases. Most recently, Dr. Florence has led a team which increased the value of a privately held company by implementing organizational, marketing, and developmental changes.
Kyle Cleaver
Kyle Cleaver is a founding partner of KonQuest Capital. In his most recent vice president position, Kyle led global customer care for a public company with a focus on building and maintaining mutually beneficial client relationships. In his role, Kyle created the overall vision for the client’s post-sale experience including, but not limited to: implementation, account management, technical support and performance analytics. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Texas A&M. Kyle has over 9 years of experience across multiple areas such as staffing, operations, sales and various leadership positions. In all of his roles, Kyle has developed a culture that drives innovation and creates client loyalty through engaging and strategic experiences.
